Suppressors at surplus prices. That's the plan.
Silencer Surplus is the suppressor store from the people who run Shooting Surplus. The store opens soon. The law pages on this site are already live because the law would not wait.
Who we are
We are Shooting Surplus, an online firearms retailer since 2013 and a licensed FFL and Class 3 SOT dealer. On GunBroker we are an A+ rated seller with more than 36,000 buyer ratings. That page is public, so look for yourself. We move thousands of firearms a month through our own storefronts and marketplaces. Suppressors are not a side project for us. They are the category we are pointing thirteen years of buying power at next.
Why a suppressor store, and why now
2026 changed the suppressor market more than any year since 1934. The $200 tax stamp died on January 1. Approval waits collapsed from most of a year to about a week. On August 13 a federal court injunction ended registration entirely for covered buyers. Sales are the highest ever recorded: more than 845,000 applications through May, and roughly 6.5 million suppressors registered nationwide by July.
Here is our honest read of the industry. The big suppressor retailers built their businesses when the paperwork was the product. Managing an eight-month federal wait justified full retail prices and service fees, and they were genuinely good at it. That world is gone. The paperwork now takes about a week, and for covered buyers it is disappearing entirely. What is left is the part we have done since 2013: stock the right products deep, price them like a surplus house, and ship fast.
What Silencer Surplus will be
- Every major brand. SilencerCo, Dead Air, AAC, Rugged, HUXWRX, YHM, B&T, Thunder Beast, Otter Creek Labs, CGS, and more, plus mounts, muzzle devices, and subsonic ammo.
- Surplus prices. The same buying relationships that keep Shooting Surplus sharp on firearms, applied to cans. The stamp costs $0 now. The can should stop costing full retail too.
- First-timer help without the upsell. Around a third of 2026 suppressor buyers are first-timers. Caliber pickers and plain answers, not add-on stacking.
- Straight answers on the law. The 2026 hub, state table, and coverage breakdown get checked weekly, dated, and sourced.
What we won't do
We will not imply the August ruling lets everyone skip registration. It does not. We will not imply that buying from us skips it either. Today it does not: we are not a party to the case, and a suppressor from us means a $0 eForm 4 and about a week. The retailers who can legally sell same-day right now earned that in court, and we would rather tell you exactly who they are than blur the question. When our own answer changes, we will publish it with a date on it. If that kind of bluntness sounds like your kind of store, we will get along fine.
The store opens soon
One email when it does. Plus updates when the rules move, because they are moving monthly.
